Pull up the portable TV, it is unfortunately movie time for now. Noah's chest tube is still putting out more fluid than most so we must keep everything in place. That including staying in the ICU. The Drs. are otherwise happy with everything else and said they recommend no changes for the next 1-2 days. They are going to repeat a chest ECHO to see if the fluid output is from something else other than standard post surgical drainage. This is being done as a precautionary measure.
He still complains of his tummy hurting and is having more nausea than yesterday. Her has "spit up" a few times today. The Drs. state that is normal for his surgery as it causes pressure changes in the liver and gut. We can not wait for this to go away! We have to change his surgical dressings later and I know that is going to upset him. The nurse is really good and is preparing to do this after his next round of pain/nausea meds with some extra on standby. Pray for his pain and drainage to decrease. Have a Sunday family movie night of your own in honor of his recovery........and yes with plenty of popcorn!

We're planning to watch "Bedtime Stories" with our little one tonight -- popcorn and all -- in honor of Noah's progress and recovery! I pray he will continue to improve quickly over the next 24-48 hours. I can't imagine how much your heart is breaking not being able to hold your precious baby!
