Day 3

Noah had his Echo done and everything looks good. There is nothing other than a higher volume of drainage going on. Everyone is different and Noah is just a "high-drain" kinda guy. It stinks having to be in PCICU an extra night or two. He would be so much happier if we were on a regular floor holding him and him moving around more. We are kinda of in a catch, we want to remove some of his lines so he can get about more and drain faster, but we have to wait until his drainage decreases a bit to removes some of his lines. The doctor said it will even out a bit, we just have to wait it out.
John went home to sleep at 4pm. My parents took Isabel to the Children's Museum with Jessie,Daniel and Drew. They also went downtown to eat lunch. When the got back to the hospital, I got to spend some time with Isabel while my mom and dad visited with Noah. Isabel and I went exploring around the hospital and played hide and seek in the waiting room. Unfortunetly, the playroom was closed today. When I went back to see Noah, they informed me that he threw up again. These meds are really messing with his tummy. They are not too concerned with this, but as a mom, it is worrisome. Fortunetly, my mom was with him to comfort him while he had his vomiting spell. They gave him another bath and now he is resting. My parents are leaving with Isabel now and John will be here later tonight to take on the night shift. I really hope he slows down on his drainage tonight, so we can move forward tomorrow. Please pray!

Hang in there! Better the drains stay in than come out too soon. We are constantly thinking about and praying for Noah and you all. Will pray for comfort and patience for Noah during our evening prayers. lol Alan, Shannon, Johnny & Thomas
