Hospital Workup on Wednesday

We got into Charleston around noon and immediately went to MUSC. We had all the Echos, bloodwork and Xrays done pretty quickly and Noah did great. Unfortunetly, we had to wait ALONG time to talk to the surgeon. Alot of the other doctors and anthesisiologist (sp?) came throughout the day, but the surgeon was caught up in a complicated surgery and we did not see him until 7:30 that night. It was very frustrating b/c our goal was to get home and have a good night sleep. Isabel was with my parents who came down with us too. She spent alot of time with them in the hospital's HUGE playroom, so she was pretty occupied. We really couldn't leave our area with Noah b/c of all the people that needed to come by to see him and check him out. Given the circumstances, Noah did very well waiting.
When the surgeon did come by he told us that Noah was moved to "Second Case", which means instead of the 1st surgery of the day (starting at 5:30am) his surgery will be next which is around 11am. This is also frustrating b/c he cannot eat anything this morning. That's along time to distract a child who is hungry. It also makes me nervous that the surgeon was tied up with a big surgery yesterday and has an emergency surgery before Noah. I pray that he rested well last night and is "ontop of his game" today. John assured me that surgeons are prepared for things like this. I just want to get through this morning and know that the surgeon is on schedule. I am ready to get this behind us.
