We all slept in own beds as a family under a familiar roof for the first time in 26days! It is wonderful to be home. Noah was greeted at the door with a checkered flag and matching balloons, thanks Godfather! We had not unloaded the car yet as he took his throne upon his couch. Isabel swiftly removed the pillows from behind him so she could lay beside him. She has missed him dearly.
It was a very busy evening that has spilled over into the morning. We are learning how to cook fat free which is a challenge. A planned quick run to the grocery store late last night rapidly turned into a treasure hunt!
Many are sharing their thanks for us and asking if there is something than can do for us or cook for us. We greatly appreciate all of the continued support and if there is something we need we will gladly let you know. As for food, that is a difficult one at this point. We do not want to eat things in front of him that he can not have. We have to account for all fat he eats at this point. Until the doctors get him back on a normal diet we must ask for a rain check. Then lets get together and have a big celebration for the completion of his LAST HEART SURGERY! We want to as much as you do.
Visitation, since his hospitalization was so long we are already past most restrictions. We still have to obey hand washing and no contact with crowded areas or with people who are ill or recently sick. He can play with out limitations but is not allowed to swing, slide, etc. Activities where he could hit his chest before the bone has fully healed (in 8 weeks so we are halfway there). We are very happy to be home and want to see everyone, but for now, please call ahead before visiting. Again, thanks for all the prayers....we are happy to be home!

So glad you guys are back home. There is a bright side to the no fat/low fat diet...baggy clothes. (I know an awesome seamstress that can take them in) Let me know if you come across any good receipes and I will do the same. We all need to watch our fat, but Paula Deen's dishes don't taste the same. Looking forward to celebrating with Noah his last heart surgery. Please let us know if we can do anything. I'm so happy to hear you guys are finally home! I'm sure it's been a LOOOOONG 26 days and must be so wonderful to sleep in your own beds once again! I will continue to keep Mr. Noah in my prayers as he continues to heal from his FINAL SURGERY! I am celebrating with you for God's touch on Noah. I hope to maybe see you guys sometime before we head down to MUSC for Chase's birth and 1st surgery in October!

So glad you guys made it home.Hope the healing process goes a little better for Noah. NO nightmares, but does go in panic mode when you mention "going to the hospital or DR.". We actually don't tell him where we are going now until we get there for that very reason. For a while there just touching his shirt would freak him out because he was afraid that we were going to do something to him. That is all much better now, in fact now he shows everyone his chest. It all works itself out (I guess)!!!
