There's no Place Like Home

Noah has been very happy to see his sister and grandparents. His appetite has slowly increased. This is a tight balance with his tummy pain. He is interested and wants to eat, but has to slow down due to his tummy pain.
We opened presents for Isabel's birthday in his room yesterday and had fun. Silvia and I are very happy to see her and mommy got to spend the night with her too. Isabel went to a neat restaurant with mommy and daddy for her birthday today. It was a pirate restaurant. Then we got ice cream downtown. Her favorite part was the shark in the large fish tank. She also liked the pirate flags, cannons, and treasure. You will have to ask her about it! Noah has been playing well and looks forward to going to the playroom with sissy.
Noah's drainage has not decreased in several days and is slightly higher than when we transferred to 7C. This has been weighing us down as we worry that more medicines or a procedure may be in his future. It also means more time away from Isabel and home. Being here is quite difficult as Noah is very tired of the routine. He fears baths since they are followed by dressing changes. He fears nurses and doctors who are always coming in. He is tired of all of the medicines and is starting to fight them a lot more. Seemingly small things can set him off to tears quickly. We must all look like monsters to him.
We remain optimistic as his total health is improving. We are heavily praying for the drainage to decrease. We are heavily praying to get home soon. We just seem to have misplaced our ruby red shoes. Well, we will just have to live our own fairytale.

Home is where the heart is and for now it rests beside you there in a room. My thoughts and prayers continue. May the love of God keep you all strong and His will be done.
All my love,
Tony
