Wow, today was different! We were awaken at 6:30am by the president of the hospital. He then informs us that we were chosen to be hospital sponsored and pampered for a day due to our long hospitalization. Our names were submitted by nurses. We were quickly ushered into a hospital stretched Cadillac and driven one block away to the plush Grande Charleston on the river. We showered in a very opulent over sized bathroom in a hospital reserved executive suite. A camera was placed in Noah's room and we were given an ultra small tablet pc, so we were in constant touch. We got new outfits compliments of Banana Republic and we were off to breakfast.
Back into the caddy we jammed early morning Black Eyed Peas on max volume. We barely finished 2 songs before the car stopped on the completely revamped end of the posh King St. The brunch served at Palmetto Fire (owned by Paula Dean) was to die for. Literally, two people left via ambulance, that is why the hospital loves this place....more business! We sat at a table across from Jenny Sanford. I have never had french toast like that before...who would have thought to shred country ham over it! The fresh fruit bar was spectacular!
Full bellies we were off again to a guided art tour through Broad Street. What is that.....the frickin IV is beeping again. What time is it?.....2:30am. Crap...I was having an awesome dream.
All is well, no changes today. Titrating some oral meds and had a nice visit with Mario and Alvarina. We are hangin in there. Just thought we would spice up some of our monotony.
