Things are going well since the last time we blogged. Isabel has become quite comfortable with K-5 and her new schedule. She told us today that she really likes school. She has an awesome teacher which makes going even better. Noah is back to full speed. His health is good and he is doing well in his preschool program. We are very proud to report that he suddenly decided to start going poo-poo on the potty. He had so much trouble in the hospital and thereafter and then a switch turned. He did it once with some reservation and then never looked back. He is really moving forward.
We have recently added a "grown up" swing to the backyard. It is nice to relax by the lake and watch the kids on the playground. We adore the arbor and all of Daniel's hard work in his "spare time" to make it happen. If you like it too, I would shy away from asking him to build you one right now since it was a bear and he was actually rescuing me from drowning.

Speaking of drowning, we may can rescue him from the water since we just purchased a boat. We are looking forward to some family lake time next summer and can't wait to enjoy a new hobby. The boat seats seven so we definitely want others to join us! However, I must admit we do not know what we are doing on the water yet. I will let you know how it goes as the inaugural launch is in 2 days with my brother, who also is not a mariner. He is a powerful swimmer though. I pray we do not need his talents.

Hello Howard Family,
I found your blog through Maia Deebs' blog. Our son has HLHS as well. We live in Charleston. Glad to read that Noah is doing well. Keep posting. It's nice to read about other families living the special heart life.
Congrats on your new purcahse! Can't wait to join you guys on the water sometime - and you know the annual supper club lake trip can always use an extra ski boat!
