Beach Trip '09

So the family took a long weekend trip to the beach and it was fabulous! The weather was great, the resort was wonderful and the time together was priceless. We stayed at Compass Cove in Myrtle Beach which I highly recommend for families with kids. The resort had 22 pools which include 3 lazy rivers and a great kiddie water area. It also had an outdoor tiki bar, restaurant, shuffleboard, wonderful landscape and a fitness room (which John and I did take advantage of). It was a great place to stay. We spent most of the days on the beach and by the pools. We had our wagon and caravaned from beach to pool to pool...to pool. We even had a picnic prepared for lunch. The kids did great and by the time we got to the room, they were ready for a nap.

In the evenings, we ventured off to a few places with the kids. We went to the Family Kingdom Amusement Park and the kids had a wonderful time. We were pretty impressed with all of the rides they had. We even got to ride the log flume as a family, which is one of my all time favorite rides. It was well worth the price. We also took the kids to see NASCAR 3D at the IMAX theater. Noah loved this! We did a little bit of shopping at Barefoot Landing. While we were there, Isabel got to jump on the Eurobungee. It is a trampoline attached to a bungee cord that allows her to jump REALLY high. This was her highlight of the trip. It was a great mini-vacation and look forward to going back soon.
