Noah Cardio Appointment

Apparently, not updating our blogpage has become a pattern. I must say facebook has been our source of keeping up with the world, however, I choose not to put everything on facebook. Noah's cardio appointments are a prime example. We did go see his cardiologist here in Greenville for a routine exam on April 12th. Going into this visit we knew we had to revisit the idea of going down to MUSC for possibly another heart cath. As some of you may remember, last July was our one year anniversary to the Fontan surgery. During this heart cath, the doctors are prepared to close the fenestration that is left open from the Fontan. When we were there, the doctors did a test close and said Noah's body was not ready to be closed and ALSO it was beginning to close on its own. We were to wait a year and see what the fenestration would do. At Noah's cardiology visit last week, we discussed the fenestration again and it has not closed. His oxygen levels were still in the 89-92%range. When the fenestration is closed his oxygen levels are close to 100%. As far as everything else with his heart, he is doing great and no problems were noted.

The appointment is scheduled for the heart cath at MUSC for June 30th. We pray that his body will accept it so that we can put this behind us. I will update the blog as the time gets closer!!
